Friends Page

I would lik to extend a special welcome to  Jules,  Maris,  Bun-in-the-Oven,  Missy and  of course Big Daddy.   These are just a few of the friends that we have made while blogging.  Everyone  is welcome and we are always looking to make new friends.

  1. I’m here, sounds like a good idea to me since there’s not a lot of comments on the blog as yet. May as well just sit back and chat…

I heard from Missy a few days ago and she’s having problems with some of her family (health issues). Although she says not, I think she’s been a bit irked with me. We have some very different opinions on things. I say a friend is someone who knows all about you and likes you anyway. Maybe we can agree on that much??

    • I agree with your defination of friends. Lord, my two best friends and I are so so different. We have very different views and opinions on things, but the one thing we share is a good heart. We just agree to disagree…..

  2. Hello guys. Heck, I’ve been submitting comments all over the place on here. And remember when we would throw in a Jon and Kate snippet just to assure we wouldn’t get kicked off of evil beet? Well here I am, now on our own blog, and what do I spout off about? Jon and Kate.
Anyway, great job Margie and Cinoda.

I do believe that the next new episode will be the most watched ever… However, I also believe no one will be believing anything that they say….. I told you awhile back that I thought they were haveing an open marriage.. Now it comming to lite.. I here that he is actually living over the garage… Ive known people like that before and it really confuses the kid!

  7. Hey Guys, It’s so nice to hear from all of you. This is so nice, we don’t have to worry about anyone getting upset with us for not talking about Jon and Kate. LOL, and of course that is one of the top headlines right now!! I figure this season will be a success for them, just because all eyes will be watching and waiting for any kind of explosion on air. Heck, if that was the “best of the best” airing of love and kindness before, can’t wait to see what they will air now.

I’m a little behind right now, I woke up this morning really crabby, (just ask Margie), and my day just kind of got out of control. We hope to get a great circle of efriends here sharing…and what’s best, is that we don’t have to answer to anyone but us!! Later my friends…..

    • Hey Margie…I’m here. Just got back from the BMX track tonight. My little buddy did great. Between last night and Friday night he has really started to get into the “zone” as I tell him. Nationals are Sunday from 8 am until ???…there will be 75 motos (races). Last night there were only 25, so it will be a long day.

There is a 4 year old that races. This little one is awesome. He just started racing and already he can stand up and peddle. He came in 2nd place in the Main Event. He’s so darn cute. I always cheer him on when he passes, and you can actually see the smile inside of his helmet. I’m always suprised that he can hold his head up with that big helmet on!!

Ladybug is on a long weekend in a cabin in Prescott, AZ. Bet she is loving it up there, we are up to 105 degrees already and it will be lots cooloer up in the mountains.

So that’s two of us accounted for…..anyone else around?

  13. Just wanted to say Hi to everyone. Margie and I have been working quite a bit on this blog and just wanted to take the time to say Thank You to all of you for your support.

We have had over 3000 views in 15 days, not a bad start for a blog. We are currently working on a bigger site and have started designing the blog as we speak. We had an idea and would like to get some input. We have been thinking of having a “his and her” section on the new blog. A place where we can post topics or current news and post a man’s opinion vs a women’s opinion. Any thoughts?

Also we would like you all to know that if you have a specific topic you would like to discuss, please just give us a shout and we will to our best to get it covered.

Comment by Cinoda Reed | May 25, 2009 | Reply

    • Sounds like a really good idea to me. As anyone who has a spouse or significant other knows, men and women have very different opinions. I know most men feel different about wars, at least that was mine and hubby’s biggest fight until our son decided on his own not to join the forces. A lot of men also have more negative opinions about gays, especially men who are gay. Combine the two and you could have a topic about the “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy of the military that Obama promised to repeal… Good luck, and I think you’re doing a great job!

  14. Just thought I would check in for a minute. Margie and I have been extremely busy working on our new site. Lord, I never realized that we would have to make so many darn decisions…that along with personal lives, have left us both pretty busy lately. The blog is taking off, we are seeing a steady increase in traffic, now we just need to get people to comment a little more.

Come on people, share with us….I promise we can even take the negative comments….LOL

  15. I’ve been thinking the same thing, Cin. I try to comment on many of the subjects, even if it’s something I’m not particularly passionate about or even knowledgeable in some cases. Then no one replies… How can we get more attention to the blogger public in general??

    Comment by Maris | May 31, 2009 | Reply

  16. How would people find you? I don’t blog either, and only know of the site from someone I know.

    Comment by Ladybug | June 1, 2009 | Reply

  17. We are starting to show up more and more on the search engines. We have been getting some viewers from bing or whatever it is called. Once we move to the new site and go .com we should see an increase, however, we may loose some of our current viewers at first.

Google wont pick us up regularly untill we have been on or a while… We are there some now, but we are usually way down on the list. Then the just see the page and / or article that they click on.. We are now starting to put an invitation on the bottom of the posts with a link hoping it will get more people interested in our other stuff.

Well how many of us would find in suburbia & rural america that one spouse living separate yet under the same roof was common today; when i was 18 in ’79 ,selling fuller brush products during college; & teaching child evangelism clubs during summers that in a catholic/evangelical home in Park manor, Shillington, pa a ”couple” was living like jon &kate?

    • Hi Angela, Its 3:55 am here. I always either wake up around this time or I’m going to bed. After I got the heatherns in bed lastnight I was pooped and went to bed for a while too. Ill be so glad when school starts back!

Yesterday we had the “Tnvasion of the Ants”!!! I’ve never seen so many ants in my life… So I also fought them yesterday. We have fire ants here. These ants were black but they still would bite or sting you… Whatever they were doing it hurt!

Isn’t it weird all of the people who have died lately? Ed McMahan, Farrah, Mikael J and Billy Mays… I our site is linked to another one on numeralogy.. They were talking about how all of these people were refered to as Kings and Queens and said it meant something… Couldn’t really get into it personally but it is weird….

Please excuse my spelling,,, The “friends page” is very informal and we don’t really spend a lot of time worrying about spelling here… LOL Good thing too…. Im a horriable speller,, Thank goodness for spell check…

So is AI the only interest that you have or do you have any other ideas on what we could write about… We are always open for suggestions….

I have an Adam obsession, not an AI interest LOL.
I do have other interests, saw something about frigid non-unions, could certainly talk about that one.
I love music in general and Broadway too.
Wouldn’t mind discussing the link between recently deceased. have an interest in the metaphysical.
    talk to you later, Angela

It seems like everyone has something going on.. I guess I’m the only one without a life. Poor meeeee….

Maris’s dog, Her Majesty, got sick and I don’t know where Debbie is. I got an email from her but it didn’t say much or where she had been…. I’m interested in you getting to know all of them…. They are pretty cool..

Don’t do much besides go to work, come home have dinner, go online then bed.
Haven’t been on a vacation except for going to Massachussetts for a couple of days with my daughter. She auditioned for AI, didn’t make it. Her last time because of the age limit.
So what do you want to talk about?
        Whatever, I am game.
Did you see my comment to the Adam pictures?
Let me know just how freely I can express myself. OK?

        Comment by Angela | July 2, 2009

  28. Yes, I saw it and you can be as free as you want… Well, I don’t want to turn the site into an erotic novel or anything… but you know what I mean… LOL

I got you beat at not having a life… My work is from my bed to the computer… I stay on and blog all day and look for stuff to post… Most of the time Im still in my nite nite cloths, so Im glad I don’t have a web cam! lol

The kids are out of school right now and I’m already ready for them to go back….

You know, as I read your words, I can just hear your drawl. My co-worker is from Texas and although we don’t see eye to eye on many things (religion and politics) we get along very well. We both love dogs and like to bake.
I will continue to wish for her enlightenment.
She is probably praying for me.

I do swear, every time I turn my back, you’re talking about me again! I am a liberal democrat and a proud member of Move

Guess I’d better watch it because I have wandered into Bush territory. LOL!

Nice to meet you, Angela from Long Island, NY home to many liberal dems.

  31. Bush territory?? NIMBY!! Move On, Think Progress, I read them all. Finally, a kindred spirit!! I am so sick of listening to Margie (bless her heart) complaining about being in the losing party. I want to tell her I feel her pain — I’ve been there for the past 8 years. Also, to cheer up — it’s actually SUPPOSED to taste like a sh*t taco… LOL!

Just love Jon Stewart and Steven Colbert too.

  34. Usually early afternoon, and I can talk politics or Adam or whatever you like. Hey, do you remember when Gene Simmons was saying (in a sneaky, covert way) disrespectful things about Adam?? Well!! I heard him yesterday when he said AI should replace Simon Cowell with Bill O’Reilly!! That explains a lot!! Washed-up, jealous, and now a fan of Bill-O the sad clown…

    Comment by trickeybusiness | July 2, 2009 | Reply

    • EEWWW, are you kidding me…was he actually serious?

      Comment by Angela | July 2, 2009 | Reply

      • Yes, he actually was serious. I have to admit I peek at Bill-O for comic relief, and it was on his show. I started watching when he kept making “World’s Worst” on Keith Olberman, and his bloviating was so ridiculous it was funny. THEN… I discovered that many of my own friends watch and actually believe him. Yep, it’s true, fools abound down here in bum-fu*k Mississippi… It can get pretty lonely. BTW, I also love Jon Stewart and Steven Colbert. Do you watch Countdown?

        Comment by trickeybusiness | July 2, 2009

  35. I just love Keith Oberman…don’t always watch Countdown because I am usually online instead of watching TV.
You Tube is one of my favorite places to go…have lots of fun there. Before Adam, I never posted anything ever before.

  40. Oh Angela, watch out for Big Daddy, or at least hold onto your bra! He’s a sneaky one, he is. We used to all meet and talk on another board, and he and I beat pure hell out of each other on a regular basis. (actually, I miss those days… sniff, sniff…) He’s a racist, homophobic, bigoted, chauvinistic, typical Texan, all hat and no head, and damned proud of it! But be careful, he is kinda sweet at the most unexpected times, and basically a good person, and before you know it — he’s grown on you like some kind of nasty incurable fungus you can’t get rid of! (Yes, Big Daddy, I’m back — did ya miss me??)

BTW, I’m also very liberal and most definitely NOT from Texas. If I’d ever had a thought of moving there, it was squashed when George W. went home. I’ve had enough of him and his gang to last a lifetime…

  49. Yes Angela, hubby and I both were shocked when he didn’t win AI. I truly think it came down to “good versus evil” in America’s eyes because I just don’t see a huge amount of amazing talent coming from Kris like it did just naturally for Adam. Won’t it be funny when the two of them become an item?? Or perhaps I should say won’t it be queer… Adam is smokin’ hot, talented in every way, a real showman. Damn, it’s too bad Big Daddy isn’t really Adam in disguise since he seems to be so hot for me! Oh well, I can dream…

    Comment by Maris | July 3, 2009 | Reply

    • Hey Maris, you go girl! My son is gay so I really despise homophobia. I love my son and his wonderful boyfriend too.

Back to AI, I wasn’t that shocked when Adam didn’t win, blamed it on homophobia so I made a donation to GLAAD in his honor.
As for Kris, he seems to be fairly talented and a sweet boy too. The problem is that everyone pales next to Adam.
I’ve often wondered how close the two of them got, they were roommates and Adam is prettier than Kris’s wife.
Anyway, it is fun to fantasize about the two of them together, but not as much as fantasizing about me being with

      • I too am a member of PFLAG, and nothing makes me madder than judgmental idiots who want to deny them or anyone of basic human rights because they don’t fit into the mold of what their church dictates as normal. I say if you’re against gay marriage, don’t marry someone who’s gay. Problem solved. Why is something so simple so hard for some people to understand?

        Comment by Maris | July 3, 2009

  50. LOL.. You wish I was hot for you.. hahah As long as you can cook and clean like your supposed to youll do fine…

I think that Adam is talented. I try not to judge people as long as they don’t try to cram their beliefs down my throat.

I know people that I would even call friends that are gay.. And we are fine. But they know not to cross that line.

Comment by Big Daddy | July 3, 2009 | Reply

    • As usual, your words belie you. You have “friends” that are gay but they know not to cross “that line” (which I already know means come near your children). How many of your beer drinking buddies do you also lay down the law with?? Being gay does NOT equate to being a pedophile, and that’s exactly what you imply when you tell your gay “friends” which line not to cross. Lame…

Are we going to have this arguement all over again? You have gay friends, black friends, women friends, all kinds of friends, and you just can’t help it that you’re better than all of them. I know the story…

      Comment by Maris | July 3, 2009 | Reply

  51. Never heard of PFLAG, what does that stand for?
I think I kind of knew that my son was gay before he told me, but didn’t really understand it then. Since then I have become more enlightened and I realize that sexuality is a complicated thing….totally understand now.
Remember when Anne Heche was dating Ellen? Well she said that she wasn’t gay but she fell in love with her and I thought well I could see why. Ellen is quite an engaging person and would be easy to love. Not that I have ever had a lesbian encounter or considered one, but I understand how it could happen.

    • PFLAG is Parents, Family, & Friends of Lesbians & Gays. Here’s their link

Neither of my children is gay, but my son’s best friend is. She is as close to me as my own child and even lives with us (her parents are dead).

  54. Hey Margie, I was out shopping. Isn’t that what we’re supposed to do on 4th of July?

    Comment by Angela | July 4, 2009 | Reply

  55. HEY GUYS I’M BACK…..WOW, Margie you did a great job while I was I gone. My brother was supposed to bring his laptop to San Fran, but for some reason he didn’t, so I had no way of checking in except for a few Text Messesages from Margie.

I’m just getting up and moving today, I have lots and lots to catch back up on. Welcome Angela…and just about anything goes here. We try to read between the lines to get to know people.

  56. Whoops, already hitting the wrong key and off the comments go…anyway, what I was trying to say is that we all come from very different walks of life. Most of the time we agree to disagree, or form a group against Big Daddy! He can be something else sometimes, but he does have a good heart. (believe it or not). Once we get the new site up and running you will be hearing from me a lot more. I’ve been working more behind the scenes lately, but can’t wait to get up front and center once again. Later my friends…

    • Yes, a good heart, about the size of a postage stamp, which he keeps in his back pocket with his huge reading glasses and sits on all day! LOL!

  57. Thanks, Cinoda, welcome back. You won’t have to do to much reading between my lines, I pretty much say what I think (well I guess I do tread cautiously sometimes).
This looks like a fun place, glad I found you guys.

  59. So what does everybody think about Gov Palin leaving office?
I’ll bet the wolves are happy!
I love animals and can’t stand animal cruelty.

    • Hi Angela,,, where have you been?

  60. I’ve been here a couple of times but I do work a 9-5 job where I don’t always get a chance to chat online.
Our time zones are different too.
It’s nice to hear from you.

  61. Yes, Angela, I bet the wolves are celebrating, the moose too, the late night comics too. She’s the gift that just keeps on giving. I couldn’t make heads or tails of that rambling non-explanation, but my money is on the money. She can’t do her $7 millon book deal until she’s out of office (and she may lose popularity before then if she waits), plus now she can charge for all those speeches whereas before she couldn’t.

What gets me is all the republican MEN who think she’s so great and could still run in 2012. I wonder if they’d feel the same if she looked like Helen Thomas (who makes much more sense despite being 40+ years older)? Let me answer my own question: NO.
