Gerard Butler – PICKS A NEW SCRIPT

He’s Gerard Butler…  Here he is sitting in a West Village cafe with a script, apparantly picking a new role for himself.

You know picking a script can be sticky business…  Then you have to pick the right leading lady so all the other women will be green with envy.

Picking just the right script can be a real booger.  You can’t after all just fling youself into a role unless it right for you.

Taco Bell Dog dies – at 15

It seems like all of the Great Hollywood Stars are burning out one at a time.  Farrah, Michael Jackson., and now Gidget “the Taco Bell Chihuahua….

Gidget, the Taco Bell Chihuahua, died Tuesday at the impressive age of 15.

The canine star suffered a massive stroke and had to be euthanized.

Aside from mouthing “Yo quiero Taco Bell” from 1997 to 2000, the pooch also appeared in Reno 911 and as Bruiser’s mom in the Legally Blonde sequel.

But wait!  There is a new kid in town…  I would like to nominate my little doggie as the next Canine Star!  His name is Butch.   Here is a shot of his recent screen test.  He was trying out for a Oscar Mayer commercial… lol

The Doughnut Police

“Cops & Doughnuts” is more than a punchline. It’s now a bakery in Clare, Michigan.  It is owned by nine full-time employees of the Clare Police Department.

The newly renamed bakery opened Wednesday, offering doughnuts, cookies, muffins, brownies and bread. It also has mugs and T-shirts bearing the “Cops & Doughnuts, 100 Percent Cop-Owned” logo, and phrases including “You Have the Right to Remain Glazed” and “Handcuffs and Cream Puffs.”  I wonder if they will carry “Pigs in Blankets”?

Officer Al White says the officers were concerned when the Clare City Bakery’s owners decided to throw in the towel. The 113-year-old bakery would have become the sixth empty storefront in Clare’s three-block downtown.

The officers were on hand for the grand reopening but have hired a manager and will employ local students as staff.

I see a future porn movie in here somewhere!

Joey Chestnut vs Sasha Grey in – HOTDOG EATING CONTEST

Joey Chestnut chomped down a record 68 hot dogs, capturing his third straight July Fourth hot-dog eating contest at Coney Island, an annual showcase for flamboyant hot dogging contestants eager to show they really are what they eat.

Sash Grey, porn actress, was unable to attend the event but says she has put away more weiners than that, and she will not take this laying down!

Chestnut of San Jose, Calif., hoisted the American flag and then stood proudly like an Olympic athlete as “The Star-Spangled Banner” played following his 68 to 64 1/2 dog victory over his archrival, six-time titleholder Takeru Kobayashi.

As soon as he knew he had won, he shot his right fist into the air, his mouth still bulging, which was also Sasha’s plan,  while he chewed the last of his wieners at Nathan’s Famous Fourth of July International Hot Dog Eating Contest.

Domino’s Pizza – New topping, BOOGERS !

Domino’s Pizza have added a new topping for their Pizzas, Boogers!

I have always been a little leery of eating at fast food restaurants…  I always make sure that I don’t piss off the tattooed and pierced employees until after I get my order and it is messed up.  Some people say that I’m just paranoid, however, this video makes my point!

I still refuse to eat at Taco Bell after semen and feces was found in their taco meat…  NOW, I will have to add Domino’s as one of the places that I refuse to eat!

The employees in this video are being prosecuted for food tampering….

Red Bull Gives you wings – NOW WITH MORE COCAINE !

About a year ago, the makers of Red Bull, the famous caffeine-loaded energy drink, decided to come out with a soda, unsurprisingly named Red Bull Cola. The shared name implied the same big kick. But could the cola’s boost – supposedly “100% natural” – come from something else? Officials in Germany worry that they’ve found the answer – cocaine. And now they have prohibited the soda’s sale in six states across the country and may recommend a nation-wide ban.

“The [Health Institute in the state of North Rhine Westphalia] examined Red Bull Cola in an elaborate chemical process and found traces of cocaine,” Bernhard Kuehnle, head of the food safety department at Germany’s federal ministry for consumer protection, told the German press on Sunday. According to this analysis, the 0.13 micrograms of cocaine per can of the drink does not pose a serious health threat – you’d have to drink 12,000 liters of Red Bull Cola for negative affects to be felt – but it was enough to cause concern. Kuehnle’s agency is due to give its final verdict on Wednesday when experts publish their report.

Most Unhealthy Foods of 2009 – Mmm Delicioso !

If you are gastronomically challenged, turn and run away!

Picture, for  a moment.  Scoops of macaroni and cheese, deep-fried, topped with more cheese and sitting in plate of marinara sauce.  Or Little bacon-cheeseburgers tucked inside quesadillas.  What about A steak served up with a half racks of ribs on the side.  Remember, a moment on your lips, forever on your hips!

The Center for Science in the Public Interest has voted these above dishes the worst or the worst in its 2009 Extreme Eating wards.  I, Cindy Reed, have personally tried all of the following deliciously delectable darengers of devilish delight, more than once, and will give you my opinions of each dish!

  • Red Lobster Ultimate Fondue: Shrimp and crab meat in a lobster cheese sauce served in a sourdough bowl, with 1,490 calories, 40 grams of saturated fat and 3,580 mg of sodium. The center said this dish makes up about two-days sodium intake. I found this dish yummy!  I give this dish two claws up for both texture and flavor!
  • Applebee’s Quesadilla Burger: A mini-bacon cheeseburger inside a quesadilla. Two flour tortillas, two kinds of meat, two kinds of cheese, pico de gallo salsa, lettuce and a ranch-dressing sauce, served with fries. This meal contains 1,820 calories, 46 grams of saturated fat and 4,410 mg of sodium, the statement said.  I found this dish very confusing.  I couldn’t figure out if I was eating American food, because of he burgers and fries, or Mexican food because of the quesadilla and the pico.  The blend of the two styles, however, I found to be interesting at best.
  • Chili’s Big Mouth Bites: Four mini-bacon-cheeseburgers served with fries, onion strings and jalapeno ranch dipping sauce. The entree has 2,350 calories, 38 grams of saturated fat and 3,940 milligrams of sodium, the center said. Don’t let the name fool you!  They are not that small!  And you can substitute them for boneless buffalo-wing burgers as well!  I would suggest that if you choose the traditional mini bacon-cheeseburgers that you get wing sauce for dipping your fries.  I believe that the spiciness of the wing sauce eats the fat in the rest of the food.  This almost turns it into a Weight Watcher Meal!
  • The Cheesecake Factory Chicken and Biscuits entree: The Center said this dish has 2,500 calories.  We don’t have  a Cheesecake Factory in my area so I haven’t tried this particular dish.  I do LOVE cheesecake.  I just don’t think it would go well with Chicken and Biscuits!

Other dishes, like the Cheesecake Factory’s Fried Macaroni and Cheese, will be named award winners in the June issue of Nutrition Action.  I know the Fried Macaroni and Cheese Balls would be my favorite!  Hey Sister, If you are reading this, we are going to Cheescake Factory next time I visit…And to think we wasted our calories on dessert!

The Center for Science in the Public Interest (now that’s a mouthful) is pushing for a national law that requires restaurant chains with more than 20 locations to post calorie and nutritional guides on printed menus.  The group hopes that these annual awards will better emphasize their cause and educate consumers as to what they are putting into their bodies.
