Walter Jones who played Zack Taylor–The Black Ranger from The Mighty Morphan Power Rangers, a children’s show, was arrested Sunday morning around 4am by Alabama State Troopers in Huntsville.

There were no reports of the actor making any comments about the arresting officers mama.  I hope Obama doesn’t make another statement….

Obama – OPENS MOUTH INSERTS FOOT

OK, people you voted for him now we all have to deal with it for the next 4 years….  Obama showed all through his Presidential campaign his willingness to use both blacks and whites to reach his goal of becoming President of The United States and then toss them aside.  Now he is starting to show his TRUE colors, and they’re NOT RED, WHITE or BLUE!

NATICK, Mass. – A white police sergeant who arrested renowned black scholar Henry Louis Gates Jr. said Thursday he is disappointed President Barack Obama said officers acted “stupidly,” despite acknowledging he didn’t know all the facts.

Sgt. James Crowley responded to Gates’ home near Harvard University last week to investigate a report of a burglary and demanded Gates show him identification. Police say Gates at first refused and accused the officer of racism.

Gates was charged with disorderly conduct. The charge was dropped Tuesday for some reason, and Gates has since demanded an apology from Crowley.  Sgt. Crowley refuses to apologize and says that he will not in the future.

Obama was asked about the arrest of Gates, who is his friend, at the end of a nationally televised news conference on health care Wednesday night.

“I think it’s fair to say, number one, any of us would be pretty angry,” Obama said. “Number two, that the Cambridge police acted stupidly in arresting somebody when there was already proof that they were in their own home. And number three — what I think we know separate and apart from this incident — is that there is a long history in this country of African-Americans and Latinos being stopped by law enforcement disproportionately, and that’s just a fact.”

In radio interviews Thursday morning, Crowley maintained he had done nothing wrong in arresting Gates.

“I support the president of the United States 110 percent. I think he was way off base wading into a local issue without knowing all the facts as he himself stated before he made that comment,” Crowley told WBZ-AM. “I guess a friend of mine would support my position, too.”

Crowley did not immediately respond to messages left by The Associated Press on Thursday.

Gates has said he was “outraged” by the arrest. He said the white officer walked into his home without his permission and only arrested him as the professor followed him to the porch, repeatedly demanding the sergeant’s name and badge number because he was unhappy over his treatment.

“This isn’t about me; this is about the vulnerability of black men in America,” Gates said.

He said the incident made him realize how vulnerable poor people and minorities are “to capricious forces like a rogue policeman, and this man clearly was a rogue policeman.”

Crowley, 42, said he won’t apologize. And his union has expressed “full and unqualified” support for him.

On Thursday, he told WBZ that Gates verbally assailed him. The police report says Crowley asked Gates to talk outside, to which he responded “Yeah, I’ll speak with your mama outside.”

“There was a lot of yelling, there was references to my mother, something you wouldn’t expect from anybody that should be grateful that you’re there investigating a report of a crime in progress let alone a Harvard University professor,” Crowley said Thursday.

Fellow officers, black and white, say he is well-liked and respected on the force. Crowley was a campus police officer at Brandeis University in July 1993 when he administered CPR trying to save the life of former Boston Celtics player Reggie Lewis. Lewis, who was black, collapsed and died during an off-season workout.

Gates’ supporters maintain his arrest was a case of racial profiling. Officers were called to the home by a woman who said she saw “two black males with backpacks” trying to break in the front door. Gates has said he arrived home from an overseas trip and the door was jammed.

The president said federal officials need to continue working with local law enforcement “to improve policing techniques so that we’re eliminating potential bias.”

How is this being bias?  Gates’s own neighbor, who I would think would have recognized him, called in the report.  Gates refused to comply by not showing his identification when asked and then verbally assaulted the officer with slurs about his mother!  If this had been a white man he also would have been arrested.  So once again, how is this being bias?

“What I think we know separate and apart from this incident is that there’s a long history in this country of African-Americans and Latinos being stopped by law enforcement disproportionately,” Obama said. “That’s just a fact.”

Gov. Deval Patrick, who is black, said he was troubled and upset over the incident. Cambridge Mayor Denise Simmons, who also is black, has said she spoke with Gates and apologized on behalf of the city, and a statement from the city called the July 16 incident “regrettable and unfortunate.”

The mayor refused Thursday to comment on the president’s remarks.

Police supporters charge that Gates, director of Harvard’s W.E.B. Du Bois Institute for African and African American Research, was responsible for his own arrest by overreacting.

Black students and professors at Harvard have complained for years about racial profiling by Cambridge and campus police. Harvard commissioned an independent committee last year to examine the university’s race relations after campus police confronted a young black man who was using tools to remove a bike lock. The man worked at Harvard and owned the bike.

Richard Weinblatt, director of the Institute for Public Safety at Central Ohio Technical College, said the police sergeant was responsible for defusing the situation once he realized Gates was the lawful occupant. It is not against the law to yell at police, especially in a home, as long as that behavior does not affect an investigation, he said.

“That is part of being a police officerin a democratic society,” Weinblatt said. “The point is that the police sergeant needs to be the bigger person, take the higher road, be more professional.”

PLANNED PARENTHOOD – African American abortions in America

We all know that Abortion is a very controversial topic.  But what if you throw African Americans into the already heated debate?

Bill O’Reilly interviews Laura Ingram who is upset over, but still defends Planned Parenthood.  This organization receives over 300 million dollars a year in government funding which is supposed to be used for educational purposes.  They do still, however, make profits from performing abortions.

Laura makes a statement that she believes that a group of Pro-life advocates were responsible for what you are about to read but they were not.  A group of UCLA students doing a study concerning abortion has called several abortion clinics to ask one astounding question?  If I make a donation, can I request that it be used to abort a child of a minority group, specifically an ( African American Baby ) ?  The answer?:  YES…  In many cases, the person on the phone actually sounds enthusiastic about answering the racially charged question.

The UCLA students continued by making more racially charged statements such as, “I feel that the world is better off with fewer black  babys”.  The abortion clinics response? “Understandable, Understandable..”

Laura Ingram continues the interview by pointing out that 1/3 of all abortions in America are to African American women.  These numbers seem high enough but when you consider that African Americans make up only 12% of the total population the true scope of this issue is revealed.  Many people in the black community are very upset over these figures and understandably so.

The calls and studies done by the UCLA students were put onto You Tube and was then censored and removed one at a time.  The students contacted You Tube and their response was, they would look into it.  The President of Google, from what I understand also got involved as did the New York Times.

There is also video on You Tube of a student explaining what they have gone thru in an  attempt to get the videos returned.

Here is the video of the Bill O’Reilly’s interview with Laura Ingram.

Disney’s Princess and the Frog – Racial Discrimination

Can’t we all just get along!  Now, Disney is coming under fire for the new movie, “The Princess and the Frog”.  There is  still a lot of speculation about the movie that is becoming racially charged,  but it is sure to be a money maker for Disney if the amount of attention that it is already getting is any indicator.

The Princess and the Frog

The movie introduces Tiana.  Disney’s first African American Princess.  Now Disney is being accused of being racist!  Some people claim that the Princess is jut a little to ghetto.  The movie takes place in New Orleans and to me, she seems to be a little Cajun. I took this as an attempt by Disney to perhaps stimulate people to visit the still recovering city and help their struggling local economy.

But the haters don’t see it that way.  Disney is also being blasted because the Prince appears to be either white or of Latino descent.  From what I understand, the person who does the voice is Brazilian.  So, the movie is also being blasted because the prince isn’t black.

The fire fly who narrates the movie is also said to be racist because he has the voice of an old black man.

The movies creators have already changed the Princesses name because it sounded too black and had to change her original role in the movie because some people found it offensive for the Princess to have ever have been a chamber maid.

OMG people!   Disney was trying to do a good thing here and all they have gotten so far is grief!  Watch the video above.  It has expert information through it that explains it all

Sorry, the video link has been disabled and Ican not get it back. I guess it is to controversial.  You can still go to You Tube and watch it though.  The picture should look the same as the one on the front of the screen.
