Michael Jackson’s – MEMORIAL SERVICE ( Recap )

The Michael Jackson Memorial Service ended just moments ago.  The truth that Michael is gone didn’t begin to hit until his casket was wheeled from the families private service to the hearse for the trip to Staples Arena for his memorial.

It was absolutely amazing the speed and professionalism with which the memorial service assembled.

I was very disappointed at the fact that Dianna Ross was absent.  She did, however, send a letter of apology that was read at the beginning of the service.

The service was a celebration of his life.  All of the performances were heart felt and spectacular.

Berry Gordy spoke.  He described Michael’s professional and personal life.  He personally called Michael Jackson the biggest, most talented performer that there has ever been.  If anyone would know, it would be him.

I was shocked that Al Sharpton was even allowed to speak.  He, of course, attempted to point out the racial points of Michael’s life and death as he does with everything.  After delivering such a powerful speech I found it humorous that when, at the end of the service, they were all singing “We Are The World” and everyone was swaying with their hand in the air, the camera panned to him and he was the ONLY one not participating.  As soon as he turned his head and saw that he was on TV, a look of surprise came over his face and he threw his hand into the air!  What a hypocrite!

At the end of the service the family was on stage.  Some of them took turns at expressing their feeling about his passing.  We thought that Janet was going to speak but instead she dropped the mike down so that Michael’s daughter could reach it.  His daughter, Paris, said, Ever since I was born he has been the best Dad and I love him so much.   She then broke into sobbing tears and turned to Janet. It was so so incredibly sad.

If you didn’t get to watch the service I hope you recorded it.  If not, get your hands on a recording…  You will not be disappointed.

All the while, Michael never stopped giving of himself.  He was steadfast and unwavering in his belief that there was good in all people.

Michael Jackson’s Memorial Service – TAX PAYERS ARE CONCERNED

Outside Michael Jackson's Memorial Service

Outside Michael Jackson's Memorial Service

The following article is scraped directly from the pages of “E” news…  It is describing tax payers concerns from Los Angeles, California, over having to pay for Michael Jackson Memorial Service.  I don’t agree with some of their thinking.  I guess it’s just the Republican in me.  But apparently their Democratic Liberalism isn’t working well for Californians, considering that they are now paying many of their employees and disabled citizens with IOUs.   My comments will be in bold type for your convenience.

Most of the obedient serfs close to the memorial aren’t saying how much it will cost citizens—and that includes public safety folks who, I could have sworn, work for us.

However, a city official tells me we’re looking at this costing Los Angeles $2.5 million. And rising. For a city that is operating on a deep deficit.

Still, to dedicated fans, that cost may sound reasonable; as Al Sharpton is so keen on reminding us, we’re dealing with an icon who apparently needs his own postage stamp and national holiday.

I think it was yesterday, Al, not so Sharpton, compared Michael Jackson to Elvis.  He also said that he would push for a commemorative Jackson stamp, and a waiver of the U.S. Postal Service’s usual five-year waiting post-death period. (The only exception so far has been for late presidents.)

Sharpton also took issue with how certain press outlets have covered Jackson’s death, saying there was a “disrespectful double standard” between the “Thriller” singer and other fallen icons such as Frank Sinatra or Elvis Presley.

I was pretty upset after reading his remarks.  I don’t remember ever getting out of school for “Elvis Day” or “Frank Sinatra Day”.  I also have never received holiday pay from my employer for either of these Holidays.  I WAS PISSED…  Then I googled it…  There is no Elvis or Frank Sinatra day.  And Michael Jackson, although the “King of Pop”,was not a president or a real king. He was a king because we all loved him.   So to what “disrespectful double standard” was Big Al referring?

However, you may be chapped to learn exactly how much the Jackson family and promoter AEG will be benefiting from this outlay of public funds…

We already know that 11,000 fans will pack the Staples Center tomorrow. But less well known is that the Jackson family reportedly commandeered an additional 9,000 seatsfor its own private guests. So, much of the security surrounding Jackson’s “public” memorial tomorrow is actually, in essence, security for a private party for the Jackson’s and their friends.

Oh, I’m sorry, did I say party? I meant respectful, dignified memorial costarring a runner-up from Britain’s Got Talent.

They said that, not me…

Before you pile on to cluck at my lack of respect, I’m not alone. I have backup.

“We have city employees getting pink slips because the city dollars are not there,” points out L.A. City Councilman Dennis Zine. But even though city officials have asked AEG to pick up some of the public costs, the company has declined, Zine tells me. AEG did not respond to my requests for comment.

“You would think AEG would say, ‘We’re the ones who did this, we could have had a private ceremony and not a major public memorial.’ AEG is a big entertainment company. They’re going to get international coverage and tons of publicity from this.”

And just what kind of city effort are we talking here?

  • At least 1,400 police officers to keep the peace
  • Workers from the Department of Transportation to arrange and enforce street closures
  • Still more workers from the Department of Public Works to keep the area clean and operating
  • Fire and rescue specialists, just in case too many rabid fans moonwalk into one another out in the streets

If they would pay their employees with money rather than IOUs, these employees would go into the community and spend and pay their bills, thus allowing other business to stay open and pay their employees.  Right?

If you’re wondering if the city might decide to stand up for itself eventually, you’re not alone. Zine says the city attorney’s office is looking into the public outlay of funds and may take unspecified action; the city attorney’s office didn’t immediate comment when I contacted them this afternoon.

And just in case you still think it’s disrespectful to the dead to be discussing money like this, a note: According to Zine—who got this information from an official at the Los Angeles Coliseum—the Jacksons briefly mulled doing their memorial there. And they also were considering charging for the tickets.

Sounds to me that the democratic liberal state expects things to change by dong nothing different.  Remember the definition of insanity?  Doing the same thing the same way but expecting the outcome to be different?

Michael Jackson's Ghost Appears Again

Ok guys, since Margie started this I just had to show you this you tube video.

Plus I want to thank Margie for handling all of the posting since I’ve either been vacationing in San Francisco or working my butt off on the new site.  I hope to have the site up Wednesday at the latest.  Hosting your own blog is much different than what we are doing now.  I’ve been getting crash lessons in CSS programming, Fireworks, Dreamweaver and Photoshop!  Thank God I have a son who is a computer guru and treats me so good!

And not to burst your bubble, but here is the explaination of the Michael Jackson ghost viewed on Larry King Live

Steve McNair – MURDER UPDATE

Nashville police now saying that they think the gun recovered at the scene of Steve McNair and Sahel Kazemi‘s shooting death belonged to Sahel.

Police spokesmen Don Aaron said, “We believe the pistol recovered from the apartment was purchased by Kazemi.”

McNair was found shot four times, twice in the head and twice in the body.   Kazemi suffered a single gunshot to the head. Cops were told Kazemi and McNair “had been in a dating relationship,” even though McNair was married.

The gun in question was found under Kazemi’s body.  The police are thinking murder-suicide is a possibility, but nothing is official yet.

– Kazemi was pulled over for DUI Thursday morning between 1-1:30 AM. McNair was a passenger but was allowed to leave the scene via taxi with another person. Kazemi admitted to being high.

-Thursday night, Kazemi purchased a semi-automatic pistol. Police will not say who she got the gun from.

– Early Saturday morning, McNair meets Kazemi at his Nashville condo.

– 1:30 PM Saturday, 911 call is made alerting police of the shootings. Police believe bodies were actually discovered before 1 PM — cops are “concerned” about the time lapse.

Cops are still waiting for ballistics tests and gunshot residue reports to classify Kazemi’s death.

Congressman King – IS A PETER ! Continues to bash Michael Jackson.

We all know that it is not nice to speak ill of the dead!  I guess Congressman Peter King’s mother forgot to teach him that lesson.

After being ridiculed by the general public and the media yesterday for making a statement in which he referred to Michael Jackson as a pedophile and a child molester, Congressman Peter King still hasn’t learned his lesson.

Today, the Congressman, continued by saying, “Yes, he did violate young boys. He did put them in terribly inappropriate positions. And that’s a terrible signal to be sending out to society,” the NY Congressman told CBS 2 today, among other gems.

King swears he won’t speak out against Jackson tomorrow — out of respect for his memorial.

With a name like “Peter” you think he would be a little nicer…
